Urban Planning Contest Winner Selected!

You’ve spoken and the devs have voted! After much internal deliberation, we’re happy to announce the winning entry of the Urban Planning contest.

The park nestled deep in Millennium City will be called “Sakura Park”! “Sakura” roughly translates to “cherry,” and the entire park is filled with blooming cherry trees. Forums user Pendulum was the first to suggest the name. That means he’s our overall winner, so he’ll receive a beta key and a signed Champions Online poster, as will our two runners-up, lehollis and Solo_One.

However, we had over 150 people submit an entry with reference to “sakura,” and we don’t want them to miss out on the beta just because someone else was faster on the trigger. As such, anyone who submitted the “sakura” name and has been confirmed to live in a contest-eligible area will receive a beta key, too!
